Pacecort Acylic Concrete Primer is a high strength acrylic primer designed to improve the adhesion of Pacecouirt Acrylic ccoatings to concrete surfaces. Acrylic Concrete Primer is a concentrated material that can be diluted at the jobsite.
Before applying any coating, it's crucial to ensure the existing surface is in optimal condition. The surface must be clean, dry, and free from dirt, debris, or any foreign materials. For new asphalt and concrete surfaces, a 30-day curing period is recommended. It's essential that the surface is structurally sound, with any unsound or loose material removed by methods such as chipping or scarifying. In cases of oil or other contaminants, these should be eliminated using solvents or acid etching. After acid etching, it's important to thoroughly rinse and neutralize the surface with a 1% ammonia solution to prepare it for coating. Applying a concrete primer as the initial step is also advisable for the best results.
Occasionally, it may be necessary to prime the area before regular surfacing materials are applied, especially on concrete. Our Epoxy Concrete Primer is designed for surfaces where issues like hydrostatic pressure or staining may arise. For areas needing a primer but where adhesion or staining is not a major concern, our Acrylic Concrete Primer can be diluted (one part primer to two parts water) and applied across the area using a brush, roller, or squeegee. It's important to ensure complete coverage and fill all voids, avoiding pooling in low spots. Let the primer dry completely before moving on to the patching phase.
The Acrylic Concrete Primer typically covers around 0.12 kg/m2 per application. However, coverage can vary based on the porosity and texture of the concrete.
Store the product at room temperature in a well-ventilated area, away from any potential
fire hazards.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Do not inhale or ingest the product. If inhalation occurs, move to an area with fresh airand seek medical attention if symptoms continue.
Wear appropriate safety gear while handling the product, including rubber or polythene gloves, protective goggles or glasses, and a face mask.
Do not apply the product in temperatures below 50°F (10°C) or if rain is expected.
Be vigilant to prevent the product from pooling or puddling in low areas.
